Amitabh Bachchan Buys A Whopping Rs 31 Crore Duplex Apartment In Mumbai - REPORT

There's no denying that Amitabh Bachchan is one of the richest stars of Bollywood. The actor owns some of the most expensive things, from houses to luxurious cars and more. As per the latest report, Big B has now bought a 5, 184 sq ft property in Mumbai in a project called Atlantis by a Tier-2 builder, Crystal Group. The actor had bought the property last year in December but registered it last month. The duplex apartment is worth Rs 31 crore. Yes, you read that right!
The per sq foot cost of the property comes around Rs 60, 000. The Chehre actor paid a stamp duty of Rs 62 Lakh, which is two percent of Rs 31 Crore, taking advantage of the Maharashtra Government's stamp duty waiver of two percent until March 31, 2021. Also, the property comes with six car parks and is located on the 27th and 28th floor.
As per reports, actress Sunny Leone had also purchased an apartment in the same project which is worth Rs 16 crore. Apart from Sunny Leone, filmmaker Aanand L Rai also bought a duplex apartment in the same project for Rs 25. 3 crore. In August last year, the Maharashtra government temporarily reduced stamp duty on housing units from 5 to 2 percent due to the pandemic.
On the work front, Big B has interesting projects in the pipeline. He is currently awaiting the releases of Chehre and Brahmastra. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra also stars Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Ranbir Kapoor. Other than that, he has also signed The Goodbye co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta. For the uninitiated, Big B recently replaced late actor Rishi Kapoor in The Intern. He will be seen sharing screen space with Deepika Padukone in the same. The duo earlier worked together in Piku.
